Agreement with SIRAC for Alcolocks

It was an important issue to solve for Michel Seyt, President of FNTV: alcohol interlocks with “preferential conditions”, because the individual purchase (around ?1,500 before tax, installation excluded) was deemed too expensive for carriers. Moreover, no government financial support is planned for the purchase of this mandatory equipment on brand new coaches aimed at carrying children since January 1st 2010. One should also note that aftermarket installation will be mandatory, since all coaches shall be equipped in 2015 at the latest. The agreement with the Canadian company Alcolock allows the obtaining of special rates and this, for FNTV members only. It will include the purchase, the installation and the maintenance. “Price will be disclosed later on”, FNTV said.
